Dr Hayter, who will take over the role on 1st September, brings extensive leadership experience spanning the public sector and commercial agribusiness. Most recently, she served as global head of sustainable agriculture, land use & food at HSBC’s Group Sustainability Centre of Excellence, where she helped shape international approaches to sustainable food systems, agricultural investment and climate resilience. She succeeds professor Mario Caccamo, whose leadership since 2021 has played a pivotal role in Niab’s transformation and strengthened its position as a world-leading organisation driving innovation in agriculture and horticulture.
