In Isparta, one of the world's top rose oil production centers, the harvest season is ongoing. The roses, harvested at the first light of morning, are transported to factories on the same day for processing. Roses, being a highly sensitive product, are processed without delay, while weather conditions mean that only 1 kilogram of rose oil is obtained from an average of 3 to 4 tons of rose flowers. PRODUCERS PLEASED WITH YIELD Mükerrem Çetin Kaya, a producer in Kuleönü Town, noted that this year's yield is high due to abundant rainfall. Kaya stated that the harvest begins at 05:00 in the morning and is completed by midday. Kaya, who has been growing roses for about 40 years, explained that rose oil is used in the cosmetic sector as well as in products like jam and lokum.
