The new range includes chocolate eggs inspired by Tesco’s popular chocolate bar flavors. The Sea Salt & Pretzel Milk Chocolate Egg features a milk chocolate shell filled with crunchy pretzel pieces and a touch of sea salt, creating a balance of sweet and salty flavors. The Biscuit & Raisin Milk Chocolate Egg is infused with biscuit and raisin pieces, offering a crunchy and fruity variation on a traditional Easter treat.
Tesco has also expanded its Finest range with two new premium Easter eggs. The Cote D'Ivoire 48% Dark Milk Chocolate Egg is crafted with sustainably sourced cocoa, delivering a rich and smooth taste. The Cote D'Ivoire 47% Orange Dark Chocolate Egg offers a dark chocolate option with a zesty orange twist, catering to more refined palates.
Recognizing the demand for dietary-inclusive options, Tesco has introduced the Free-From Caramel Crunch Choc Egg. This dairy-free alternative features a chocolate shell filled with honeycomb pieces, caramel flakes, rice biscuit balls, and sea salt, ensuring that those with lactose restrictions can still enjoy a premium Easter treat. The full collection is now available in Tesco stores and online.
The launch of new and returning Easter chocolates highlights key trends shaping the confectionery market in 2025. Consumers, both young and old, are increasingly looking for affordable premium options, with brands responding by offering premium flavors and high-quality ingredients at accessible prices. The Baileys Mint Chocolate Easter Egg and Tesco Finest Dark Chocolate Eggs cater to this trend by emphasizing rich flavors, unique textures, and indulgent experiences.
Brands are also leveraging nostalgic flavors while introducing innovative sweet-and-savory combinations. Baileys Irish Cream, salted caramel, and biscuit & raisin evoke familiarity, while the Sea Salt & Pretzel Milk Chocolate Egg adds a new dimension to traditional Easter treats.
The rise in dietary-conscious consumers has led to a greater demand for dairy-free and allergen-friendly chocolates. Tesco’s Free-From Caramel Crunch Choc Egg ensures that lactose-intolerant consumers can participate in Easter celebrations. Additionally, the use of sustainably sourced cocoa in the Tesco Finest range reflects growing consumer preference for ethical and responsible chocolate production.
With Easter 2025 shaping up to be a highly competitive season, manufacturers are blending tradition with innovation to cater to evolving consumer preferences. As shoppers seek indulgence, variety, and ethical choices, brands that successfully balance affordability, flavor creativity, and inclusivity are likely to see strong sales.
