With soybeans and corn on the rise, Brazil harvests the largest crop in history

The number surpasses the previous record, registered in the 2022/23 harvest, by more than 20 million tons, and represents an increase of 16.3% compared to the 2023/24 cycle — a growth of 49.1 million tons.

This significant advance is a direct result of the expansion of the cultivated area, which increased from 79.9 to 81.7 million hectares, and the recovery of the national average productivity, which rose by 13.7%, jumping from 3,769 to 4,284 kilograms per hectare. The performance of the crops was mainly favored by the more stable climatic conditions in the Central-West region, with a highlight for Mato Grosso.
