Ukraine has already sown 926 thousand hectares of spring crops

As of April 4, 2025, agricultural producers in Ukraine have sown 926 thousand hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, with barley occupying the largest area. The total area to be sown with spring cereals and legumes for 2025 is over 5.7 million hectares, the same as in 2024. However, there will be a 28% increase in the area sown with spring wheat, reaching 222.8 thousand hectares. Other crops including wheat, peas, oats, sunflower, sugar beet, and soybeans have also been sown.

Spring wheat has already been sown on 116.5 thousand hectares, peas - on 164.3 thousand hectares, and oats - on 82.3 thousand hectares. Sunflower has been sown on 33 thousand hectares.
