El-Sayed added to Masrawy that the actual cost of a kilo of poultry is about 70 pounds, with a price gap of about 8 pounds per kilo, which is causing significant losses for breeders. El-Sayed confirmed to Masrawy that the sector is currently going through a difficult phase due to the continued drop in poultry prices at farms to levels below the cost of production, which puts breeders in front of continuous losses and threatens the exit of small breeders from the system.
