The 2026 strawberry production expected to rise, prices under pressure

According to forecasts from the Statistical Service of the Ministry of Agriculture dated May 1, French strawberry production is expected to reach 75,200 tons in 2026, up 3% year-on-year and 5% compared to the 2021-2025 five-year average. The planted areas are estimated at 3,668 hectares (excluding overseas production), a level comparable to the previous campaign but down 2% compared to the 2021-2025 average.
