The government has once again implemented the Food Supply and Price Stabilization (SPHP) program for rice. This step was taken to respond to field conditions, particularly regarding rice price increases above the maximum retail price (HET). Since last weekend, SPHP rice has begun to be rolled out. The National Food Agency (NFA) has set the selling price from Bulog to distribution partners. Specifically, Rp 11,000 per kilogram (kg) for the regions of Java, Lampung, South Sumatra, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi. Then Rp 11,300 per kg for the Sumatra region (except Lampung and South Sumatra), East Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan. Lastly, the price is Rp 11,600 per kg for the Maluku and Papua regions. Subsequently, the public can purchase SPHP rice at prices referring to the medium rice maximum retail price according to the National Food Agency Regulation Number 5 of 2024.
