In 2024, Peru managed to export 593,885 tons of avocados worth $1.29 billion, which represented a 7% decrease in volume, but a notable 25% increase in value compared to 2023. According to FreshFruit, the close of the year was positive, driven by a 35% increase in the average price, reaching $2.17 per kilogram, which consolidated Europe as the main destination and reflected important changes among the main exporters.
