In the Ulyanovsk region, milk production is growing. Over the past week, agricultural enterprises and farms in the region increased the average milk yield per cow to 19.5 kilograms per day. This is 2.6% more than during the same period last year. The average daily milk production in the region amounted to 353 tons. Of these, 323.9 tons were sent for processing. The regional Ministry of Agriculture notes that this indicates a high level of commercial viability of the products. "Milk production in the Ulyanovsk region is on the rise," the department reported. The best results were shown by livestock enterprises in the Novospassky district. There, the average milk yield was 34.5 kilograms per cow per day. Also among the leaders are the Cherdaklinsky district with an indicator of 24.8 kilograms, the Ulyanovsk district - 23.6 kilograms, the Sursky district - 22.8 kilograms, and the Melekevsky district - 20.8 kilograms. The Ministry of Agriculture believes that the growth is associated with the modernization of farms, improvement of the feed base, and the work of industry specialists.
