German pork imports banned due to foot-and-mouth disease outbreak in Germany

The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of South Korea has imposed a ban on the import of German pork and pork products due to an outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in buffalo in Germany, marking the first such outbreak in Germany since 1988 and in Europe since 2011. The ban will be effective from the date of shipment in Germany.
