Export of sausage products from Russia increased by 16% in a year – RSHB

In 2024, Russia saw a 16% increase in sausage exports, reaching 95 thousand tons compared to 2023. The domestic market for sausage products is growing and has potential for further expansion, with these products being exported to 75 countries. From January-October, the production of sausage and similar meat products increased by 2.1% year-on-year, totaling 2.1 million tons. The Central Federal District, Volga region, and Northwestern Federal District were the main production areas, with Moscow and the Moscow region being the leaders. Producers are not only increasing production but also expanding the product range and improving marketing strategies domestically and internationally.

Such data was provided by the press service of the Russian Agricultural Bank (RSHB) with reference to the managing director of the bank's industry expertise center Oleg Lityaykin. The expert noted that the domestic market for these products is growing steadily and shows high potential for further development. In total, according to him, sausage products from Russia are supplied to 75 countries. However, Lityaykin did not name a specific list of these countries or macroregions, as well as a list of the most supplied items. The RSHB also provided data on production for January-October.
