In Uruguay, beef costs more than US$ 5,000

The average export income for beef has increased by 20% year-on-year to US$ 4,900 per ton in the first 11 days of the year, compared to US$ 4,065 at the start of 2024. The highest recorded figure of US$ 5,036 per ton was reported in the latest weekly data. However, the volume of beef exported at the beginning of the year has decreased compared to the same period in 2024, with 9,257 tons exported compared to 14,946 in the same period of 2024.

The Average Export Income for beef was US$ 4,900 per ton in the first 11 days of the year, 20% more than the US$ 4,065 at the start of 2024. The latest weekly figure, of US$ 5,036 per ton, was the highest recorded since mid-November.
