Ukraine reduced lard imports by 40.5%

In the first 11 months of 2024, Ukraine's imports of pork and poultry fats decreased by 40.5% compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 13.5 thousand tons. The monetary value of these imports also fell by 35.6% to $16.8 million. Despite the decrease in imports, the average consumer price of lard in Ukraine rose by 1.2% to 165.85 UAH/kg in November 2024.

In January-November 2024, Ukraine purchased 13.5 thousand tons of lard, pork fat and poultry fat abroad - 40.5% less than in the same period last year.
