Ukraine exported 60% of the wheat agreed by the grain memorandum

Ukraine has seen a 19% increase in its grain and pulse exports in the current marketing year (MY 2024/25), reaching a volume of 21.9 million tonnes as of January 3, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. This includes a 29% increase in wheat exports to 9.8 million tonnes, and a doubling of barley and rye exports. Corn exports also saw a slight increase, while flour exports decreased by 36% compared to the same period last season.

The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in MY 2024/25 as of January 3 amounted to 21.9 mln tonnes, up 3.5 mln tonnes or 19% compared to the same period last season. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Thus, this season, the country shipped about 9.8 mln tons of wheat, which is 29% higher than last year’s volumes. Thus, 60% of the total volume of wheat agreed in the grain memorandum (16.2 mln tons) was exported. Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 1.97 mln tonnes, which is 1.8 times more than in the same period last season.
