This year, apples and grapes brought super profits to Ukrainian producers

Ukrainian gardeners are expected to profit from high apple prices this year due to increased global demand and a crop failure in Brazil, which has led to a shortage of orange concentrate, an apple substitute. Despite challenges like spring frosts and climate change, the country's grape farmers face a poor harvest because of a severe summer drought. There is interest in shifting grape cultivation to northern regions to adapt to the changing climate. The Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Association's Taras Bashtannik is optimistic about the potential expansion of apple orchards in Ukraine, particularly with new varieties, and suggests export directions towards Asia, the Middle East, and the Emirates.
