Sunflower prices in Ukraine resumed serious growth

Ukraine has experienced a surge in the domestic purchase prices for sunflower seeds, with bid prices increasing by UAH 1,000 per ton, averaging between UAH 25,000 to UAH 26,400 on CPT terms. This price hike is attributed to the rise in the cost of sunflower oil in the export market and a low supply of sunflower seeds. Despite the high prices, the market has seen limited increase in the number of offers at prices between UAH 25,000 to UAH 25,500 per ton. Nonetheless, companies have built up sufficient reserves to ensure a normal supply in the medium term.

Last week, domestic purchase prices for sunflower seeds accelerated in Ukraine, APK-Inform reports. On average, bid prices increased by UAH 1,000 per ton and amounted to UAH 25,000 to UAH 26,400 on CPT terms. Some companies demonstrated them at UAH 24,500/t on similar terms.
