Despite this, cassava remains a key export product. The industry faces competition from Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia, especially in the Chinese market. To boost competitiveness, Vietnamese businesses are encouraged to enhance product quality and explore new markets with Free Trade Agreements, such as the EU, Korea, Japan, and the US, where current export levels are low.
