Russia exported 11.8 million tons of grain and grain products by April 6

In 2025, the Russian Federation exported 11.8 million tons of grain and processed products to various countries, with notable increases in wheat exports to Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco, and Lebanon, and buckwheat supplies to China. Corn exports to Serbia also saw a double from the previous year's volume. For 2026, Russia will adopt a reduction coefficient for grain export quotas to encourage full utilization of the allocated quotas. Companies that fail to use their entire quota will have their reduced volumes added to an additional quota, which will be available to other exporters. The wheat export quota for 2025 is set at 10.6 million tons, including a main part of 8.6 million tons and an additional part of 2 million tons, which can be applied for by exporters who have already received the main part of the quota.
