Peruvian chocolate shipments abroad – including organic and conventional chocolates, and chocolates consumed mostly during Christmas and New Year's Eve – totaled more than $55,344,000 between January and October 2024, reported the Agro-Exports Department of the Association of Exporters (ADEX). The United States was the main destination, totaling $21,829,000 and representing 39% of the total. With a 20% share, Canada followed (US$10,875,000) by increasing its orders by 123%. The Top Ten is completed by the Netherlands, Chile, Bolivia, Mexico, Ecuador, Australia, Colombia and the United Kingdom. Chocolate is one of the main products derived from cocoa.
