Moldova will extend restrictions on agricultural imports from Ukraine for another six months

The Moldovan government has extended the licensing of imports of wheat, corn, and sunseed for another six months, until June 30, 2025. This step is aimed at protecting local farmers and maintaining stability in the domestic market. The licensing, which was introduced in October 2023, has helped prevent an oversupply of imported products and reduced the cost of local products. As of early December, Moldova has sufficient stocks of these products to cover domestic needs for the coming months.

As of early December, Moldova has sufficient stocks of wheat, corn, and sunflower to cover domestic needs for the coming months.
