This September, La Vuelta will pedal through the heart of the Spanish mango season in the national peak period. On September 4, the peloton will start from Almuñécar, on the Tropical Coast of Granada, and just a week later, on September 11, it will start from Vélez-Málaga, in the Axarquía region of Málaga. Two stages that will focus on some of the territories most closely linked to this crop precisely when Spanish mango gains prominence in the market. The Axarquía and the Tropical Coast form the main European producer nucleus of tropical fruits, within a cultivation map that also reaches other points of the Spanish geography. The passage of La Vuelta coincides, moreover, with one of the most relevant moments of the national mango campaign.
