JBS claims to have already allocated around R$ 35 million to cattle tracking initiatives and support for small producers in Pará, focusing on implementing a pioneering bovine traceability program at the state level. The goal is to track the entire cattle and buffalo herd in the State by the end of 2026. The balance of actions was presented during the Sustainable Meat and Leather Market Expedition in Pará, promoted by The Nature Conservancy Brazil. According to the company, US$ 5 million were invested in the Traceability Accelerator Program, including the donation of 2 million tags (electronic ear tags) and 175 readers for the Agricultural Defense Agency of the State of Pará (Adepará).
