Each edition, the WOOE recognizes the work of individuals, companies, and institutions that contribute to the development, innovation, internationalization, and promotion of olive oil around the world. In addition to Grupo Editorial Mercacei, Manuel Parras has been recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award for a lifetime dedicated to the development of the olive sector from university, research, and institutions; the Instituto Canario de Calidad Agroalimentaria (ICCA), with the Institutional Promotion of Olive Oil Award, for its commitment to the promotion and valorization of olive oil produced in the Canary Islands; and the Diputación de Castellón for its project "Castelló Ruta de Sabor", with the Territory Valorization Award, for promoting olive tourism, local gastronomy, and the development of the rural environment.
