Buckwheat prices are projected to increase next fall due to a substantial reduction in sowing areas and a poor harvest caused by a prolonged drought in July. Overall, the sowing area for buckwheat has decreased from 124,000 hectares to 100,000 hectares, leading to a significant drop in the gross buckwheat harvest and consequently higher prices.
