In W3 Feb-22, due to the Pakistani government's blockade of the crossing point, over 7,000 trucks carrying products, including capsicum in Pakistan, had been stuck at the Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border for five days. The price of capsicum decreased in W3 Feb-22 as a result of the majority of Pakistani capsicum shipments being delayed at border crossings and some being rerouted back to Pakistan. The borders have fully opened driving trade activity to continue again. It is anticipated the price will recover in the coming term as purchasing and trade activities return to normal.
