Haji Mumtaz Ali Khan (Late), the founder of Khan Rice Mills, came from a family of farmers. Around 1958, he started cultivating rice paddy on his ranches in the Sheikhupura region of Pakistan. Since bantam rice husking units were still a new concept in the area at the time, the paddy that was carried around was husked; They used to do the same thing until 1960. They gradually replace it with plants that are fully automated. Khan Rice Mills are leading the way in reducing food loss, increasing crop yields, and expanding market access through innovative technologies. After graduating in 1974, Shamshad Ali Khan, the youngest and eldest member of the family, joined his father as a prominent rice industry and family business icon. He knows a lot about his privately held business and is passionate about it. The young descendant has completely reorganized rice plants with cutting-edge production units in a short amount of time, including striking additions, a German-designed Automatic Rice Husking Plant, and advancements in drying, processing, polishing, preparing, and grading. Under the direction of this young and talented director, Khan Rice Mills saw rapid growth in both quality and productivity. Within a short period of time, they acquired two leading rice shelling plants with the option to increase production limits to 20 MT per hour. Since 1991, Khan Rice Mills has been a key producer, miller, and processor of rice for overseas markets, making it one of the region's leading rice exporters. The company is now regarded as the best rice producer in the world, with paddy fields covering 72 acres of prime agricultural land. Sheikhupura's Basmati rice is well-known all over the world for its unique flavor, aroma, and extended properties.
