Gunnar Klo AS

Gunnar Klo is a company in the fishing industry in the municipality of Myre og St, ksnes in the county of Nordland.

Oluf Klo established Gunnar Klo AS in the fishing village of Nyksund in 1909. Fish were purchased in Nyksund for use in the production of salt and dried fish for export. The company moved to Myre in 1952. The company was further developed by Gunnar Eilif Johan Klo and, later, his son Gunnar Henry Jarl Klo. Gunnar Klo AS purchased the fish factory at St. in Ksnes, which is located on the north side of Langya. Fiskevret St. is an important company reception location because it is close to a picturesque fishing pond. At St., dry fish are produced in good, natural conditions.

Whitefish, including fillets, fresh fish, salted fish, and dry fish, are processed at Gunnar Klo AS. Myre Saltfish Group AS collaborates on the production of saltfish.

The coastal fleet, primarily longliners and trolling boats, as well as seine seines, supply the fresh, high-quality fish that we produce.

MSC has approved Gunnar Klo AS for use in cod, pollock, haddock, ling, tusk, and roe biscuits. The organization is additionally supported by the natural names Krav in Sweden and Debio in Norway for cod and haddock.
