Fair Coffee EthioCo Coop Export was established in 2018. The company is based in Ethiopia. They mainly offer Sun-dried Coffee.
Story
Our Story begins in 1991 in Yirgacheffe. This is a Family of 30 years of Coffee Production. Our family started Coffee production in 1991 as a producer in Yirgacheffe by my father Mr Bogale Mengistu. He has been supplying coffee to local market for exporters and now for ECX (Ethiopian Commodity Exchange) since its establishment in 2008. Following the footsteps of my father, I came back from Germany to establish coffee exporting company called Fair Coffee Ethioco in 2018 with a washing station located in the coffee paradise Yirgacheffe. Our farm which is more than 20 hectares is located on the highlands producing the best quality Yirgacheffe has to offer in a specific area called “Ressiti” kebele which is a neighbour to the famous “Aricha” Kebele. Ressiti is found in the altitude range of between 1900m – 2200m.
We are supplying both washed and Natural (Sun-dried) Coffees. We also do experimental micro-lots in collaboration with our buyers upon request.
Fair Coffee Ethioco works directly with coffee farmers strictly following the rules of Fair Trade. We source specialty coffees of the highest quality with fair price creating trading partnership that are based on dialogue, transparency and mutual respect.
