Domaine Arlaud, since 1942
Domaine Arlaud's origins date back to 1942, when Renée Amiot, a woman from Burgundy, met Joseph Arlaud, a native of the Ardèche region. The dowry included some fine vineyards, which Joseph began to expand in 1949. In 1966, they acquired a historic 14th-century cellar in Nuits-Saint-Georges for aging their wines. This cellar has since been featured on the label of every bottle.
Hervé Arlaud succeeded his father in 1983 and continued to expand the vineyard. His children joined him in turn, working together on the estate from 2004 to 2012.
In 2013, Cyprien took over sole management of the family estate, which encompasses 19 appellations across 17 hectares, including four Grand Cru vineyards: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint-Denis, Charmes-Chambertin, and Bonnes Mares.
