Description

Thai sweet basil or "Horapha" in Thai. This tropical variety of sweet basil provides the unusual basil flavor present in so many Thai dishes that it has come to be identified as "Thai basil". Its leaves are deep green, smaller than and not as round as Western sweet basil. It has a slight aniseed flavor and a reddish purple color at the leafstalk, often sprinkled on curries.
