Vietnam remains the most prominent tea supplier to Taiwan in H1-24, exporting 6 thousand tons of tea to the country, resulting resulted in a total export turnover of USD 10.92 million, marking a 9.77% year-on-year (YoY) increase in volume and a 5.93% YoY increase in value. Vietnam accounted for 50.35% of the market share in terms of volume but only 28.51% in value during this period.
During this period, Sri Lanka was Taiwan's second-largest tea export partner, with a volume of 2.04 thousand tons, a decrease of 2.12% YoY. The turnover was USD 9.408 million, a slight decline of 0.26% YoY, accounting for 15.49% of the volume and 24.56% of the market share in value. Following Sri Lanka, Taiwan's largest tea suppliers were Japan, India, Kenya, and China.
