In Apr-24, Norway set a new record in seafood exports, totaling USD 1.28 billion, representing a 7% year-over-year (YoY) increase. This achievement, reported by the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC), marks the highest recorded export values for seafood in April. The growth is attributed to the depreciation of the Norwegian krone against the Euro and United States dollars, coupled with a diversified export portfolio that includes salmon, cod, snow crab, and tuna. Moreover, Poland, Denmark, and the United States are noteworthy among the key markets for Norwegian seafood. Notably, exports to Poland reached USD 19.8 million (NOK 216 million), reflecting a 19% YoY rise.
