In a field in Solís (Buenos Aires), a technical-agronomic team from Syngenta demonstrated the potential of Authence, the new molecule developed with predictive technology and recently launched from the Hilton Hotel in CABA. The field day featured plants that are now a "headache" for the agricultural producer: resistant grass weeds. The numbers that support this chronic headache for producers have been discussed more than once by specialists and reflected by Infocampo: 70% of the productive territory in Argentina already has 15 or more resistant biotypes recorded. According to the latest mapping by the Pest Management Network (REM) of Aapresid, out of 29 million hectares surveyed, 25.8 million presented, at least, one resistant or tolerant species. In that context, to give the producer a solution that allows them to control resistance to traditional herbicides, Syngenta developed a new mode of action, something not seen in the market for over three decades.
