Vietnam's cashew industry maintains its No. 1 position in the world

The cashew industry in Vietnam has set a new record in export value, maintaining its position as the world leader for the 18th consecutive year, accounting for over 80% of the global cashew kernel export market. The US remains the largest customer, spending over 1.15 billion USD to import nearly 192,200 tons of cashew nuts in 2024, marking a 21.3% increase in volume and a 30.3% increase in value compared to the previous year. Cashews are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making them a popular food processing ingredient for various products. The demand for cashew imports is expected to rise in the coming years, providing opportunities for Vietnamese businesses in the sector.
