Vegetable prices unexpectedly increased in Ukraine: what and how much will you have to pay now?

Last week in Ukraine, vegetable prices experienced a general decline due to low market demand, with notable price drops for potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, and greenhouse cucumbers. Despite limited supply, carrots and table beets saw reduced prices, and radishes led to lower prices for greens such as dill, parsley, and lettuce. The fruit segment saw fluctuation, with apple prices returning to their previous level. Conversely, the cost of the budget version of the Easter basket has surged by 33% compared to last year, now totaling an average of 426 hryvnias, and can reach 1,185 hryvnias if additional items are included.

Vegetable prices in Ukraine were mostly falling last week. Against the backdrop of low demand, potatoes continued to fall in price. Analysts from the EastFruit project noted that the most popular vegetable among Ukrainians fell in price from 16-25 to 15-23 hryvnias per kilogram. Despite the limited supply on the market, carrots began to fall in price again. The lower price limit fell from 27 to 25 hryvnias/kg. Table beets were sold cheaper than the previous week - the lower price limit fell from 18 to 16 hryvnias/kg. Tomatoes are falling in price rapidly for the second week in a row. Prices have already fallen from 70-90 to 65-85 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, after a three-week increase, greenhouse cucumbers began to fall in price - the lower price limit fell from 110 to 90 hryvnias/kg.
