The yield of wheat and barley this year will be lower by 7-8%

According to him, the average yield will be within 50.1 tons per hectare, which is almost equal to last year's. "At the same time, the yield of wheat will be 7.8% less, and barley 7.1% less. An increase in productivity is expected for buckwheat (by 1.5%) and rye (by 2%)," noted the expert. Also, Oleksandr Nechhyporenko pointed out that the areas under wheat and corn have decreased by 30% and 25%, respectively, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Farmers are compensating to some extent by increasing the yield of crops, primarily due to the introduction of innovative field cultivation technologies.
