The Moscow Region leads in confectionery production in Russia, accounting for 13.2% of the country's total production in 2024 with a volume of 570.3 thousand tons. The region specializes in cocoa, chocolate, and sugar confectionery products, accounting for 81.1% of its total production. Large organizations with a production capacity of over 10 thousand tons per year, such as 'Pobeda' and 'Volshebnitsa', dominate the production. However, when it comes to flour confectionery products like cakes and pastries with short shelf life, the Moscow Region drops to second place with a share of 20.5% in the Central Federal District and 5.5% in Russia, with Moscow being the leader in this category.
