The Region of Murcia leads melon exports with 46.93% of the national total, while in watermelon it ranks second with 22.34% after Andalusia, according to data provided by the Association of Producers-Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables of the Region of Murcia (Proexport). In 2024, the Region of Murcia exported 163,123 tons of melon valued at 149 million euros. For watermelon, exports reached 176,459 tons, with a value of 110 million euros.
