The price of cocoa in the futures markets continues to decline and this Wednesday it stands at 5,018.96 dollars per ton on average (4,336.88 euros/t), with a drop over the last month of 18.81% and a year-on-year decrease of 43.49%, according to the contracts for difference (CFD) followed by the reference market for this product. As confirmed by the financial portal Trading Economics, the price of this commodity this Wednesday is at values far from the highs recorded in December 2024, when it was set above 12,000 dollars/ton. The average daily price calculated by the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) with the average of the quotations of the three months of active futures trading in the London (ICE) and New York markets sets its reference value yesterday, November 25, at 5,077.2 euros/ton (4,395.59 euros/t).
