The first session of the Al Ain Date Festival, on its first day yesterday (Saturday), received 1,116 kilograms of dates in the "Elite of Al Ain Dates" and "Kharaif Al Bait" competitions, submitted by 108 participants in 468 bunches. The "Local and Varied" mango competition received 115 kilograms of mangoes, submitted by 23 participants in 192 bunches. The results of the three competitions will be announced this evening on the festival stage, which also received entries for the date salvage, red and yellow fig, and the most beautiful date bunch competitions, with their results to be announced tomorrow evening, Monday. The organizing committee announced yesterday the winners of the "Biggest Adh" competition, which had 15 prizes, including 50,000 dirhams for the first place, 40,000 for the second, and 30,000 for the third.
