The Ministry of Agriculture in Indonesia, along with the East Java Provincial Forestry and Plantation Services, has begun the first planting of upland rice integration on social forestry land owned by the Alas Forest Farmer Group in Mojokerto Regency. This initiative is part of a larger effort to support national food security, involving cross-sector collaboration and the cultivation of dryland rice on various types of plantation land. The goal is to increase local food production and improve farmer welfare, with the larger ambition of achieving sustainable food security and self-sufficiency in Indonesia.
