According to operational data of IA "APK-Inform", the export of Ukrainian meal in July of the current season decreased to about 290,000 tons, which is 28% lower than in June, but 12% higher than in July last year. In addition, it was the highest volume for July in the last 4 seasons. At the same time, we note that if the export of Ukrainian products to China decreased to 179,000 tons (-16%), the volume of shipments to the European Union increased to 102,000 tons (+4%). We would like to remind you that in the EU there is a protective import duty on products of Russian and Belarusian origin, as a result of which the prospects of Ukrainian meal on the European market can improve significantly. Thus, according to the European Commission, in July 2024, the EU did not import Russian sunflower meal, preferring Ukrainian (78%) and Argentine (14%).
