Turkey's raisin exports increased by 16 percent

In 2024, Turkey saw a 16% increase in raisin exports, reaching a value of 525 million 903 thousand dollars. Despite a 29% decrease in quantity, there was an increase in value by 16% compared to the previous year. Mehmet Ali Işık, President of the Aegean Dried Fruits and Products Exporters' Association, highlighted the sector's success, attributing it to improvements in farming techniques, support for converting vineyards, and developments in plant protection systems. The majority of Turkey's grape production is done in Manisa, making it the world leader in seedless raisin production and export. The dried fruit sector's total exports in 2024 were 1.8 billion dollars, with seedless raisins making up the largest share.
