Prices for some vegetables and fruits have been updated in Ukraine: what and how much it costs now

Last week in Ukraine, the market saw an increase in the prices of various vegetables and fruits, with beets experiencing the most significant price hike from 16-17 hryvnias per kilogram to 17-20 hryvnias. Cucumbers, sweet peppers, cauliflower, and pumpkins also saw price increases, while carrots and tomatoes became cheaper. In the fruit segment, bananas and tangerines became more expensive. Oleg Pendzin, a member of the Economic Discussion Club, attributes this inflation to the shelling of the Ukrainian energy system, last year's poor harvest, and dependence on imports, indicating that the process is likely to continue.

Some vegetables and fruits in Ukraine became more expensive last week. In particular, the prices of beets jumped sharply. EastFruit analysts noted that the vegetable jumped from 16-17 hryvnias per kilogram to 17-20. At the same time, the price of cucumbers continued to rise - from 95-150 to 100-160 hryvnias/kg, and sweet peppers also became more expensive - the upper price limit rose from 185 to 205 hryvnias. Cauliflower was also sold more expensive than a week earlier. Prices rose from 115-120 to 140-145 hryvnias/kg. In addition, pumpkins became more expensive - from 25-30 to 30-40 hryvnias/kg. Carrots began to become cheaper in Ukraine last week - the lower price limit fell from 28 to 26 hryvnias per kilogram. At the same time, tomato prices went down - the lower price limit fell from 90 to 85 UAH/kg. In the greens segment, lettuce became cheaper from 150-180 to 80-150 UAH/kg.
