Prices for chilled or frozen chicken in São Paulo rise this Thursday (9)

Chicken market prices in Brazil were mixed on Thursday, according to data from Cepea and Scot Consultoria. Farm chicken prices in São Paulo remained stable at R$5.60/kg, while wholesale chicken prices fell by 0.24% to R$8.25/kg. Live chicken prices in Paraná and Santa Catarina also remained stable. There was a slight increase in the price of frozen poultry by 0.59% to R$8.55/kg, and chilled chicken by 0.47% to R$8.47/kg.

Prices in the chicken market closed this Thursday (9) in mixed territory. According to data from Cepea, the search for batches for slaughter by meatpackers intensified due to the end-of-year festivities. According to Scot Consultoria, the price of chicken on the farm in São Paulo remained stable, costing, on average, R$5.60/kg, while wholesale chicken fell 0.24%, costing, on average, R$8.25/kg.
