In September 2024, Peru exported 4,252 tons of the vegetable worth US$ 12 million, which represented a 23% decrease in volume and 24% in value compared to what was shipped in September of the previous year. The average price of the product decreased by 2%, from US$ 2.86 per kilogram in 2023 to US$ 2.80 in 2024. The product was exported to 12 destinations, with the top three being the United States (65% share), followed by Spain (25%) and Germany (3%). The United States remained the main market, although its imports showed a slight decrease. The volume shipped to this market was 2,862 tons (-2%) for a value of US$ 7.8 million (-5%), with an average price of US$ 2.72 per kilogram (-3%).
