One district – one project: Alexander Novikov on the key growth points of Gomel district

Member of the Council of the Republic, Chairman of the Gomel District Executive Committee Alexander Novikov detailed the implementation of the initiative of the head of state "One District – One Project." For the region, this is an effective tool for attracting investments: OJSC "Gomelagrokomplekt" is implementing a large-scale project worth 12.4 million rubles for the production of new import-substituting products for the agro-industrial complex. "The modernization affects all key areas. In the agrarian sector, an ultra-modern pig complex for 100 thousand heads and 12 prophylactic centers for calves is being built, which will strengthen food security," noted the parliamentarian. In parallel, the private sector is developing – today, small and medium-sized businesses form more than 47% of the revenue part of the local budget. The region is actively increasing its foreign economic potential.
