Myanmar exported more than 300,000 tons of rice and broken rice in December

Between April 2024 and December 2024, over 50 companies successfully exported rice and broken rice to eight countries, totaling 2,034,656 tons with revenue of $948 million. This achievement was facilitated primarily through sea transportation and border trade. The exports varied in volume and earnings throughout the fiscal year, peaking in October with 424,784 metric tons and $189 million in revenue.

Rice and broken rice are exported to 8 countries by more than 50 companies through sea transportation and border trade. In the 9 months of the 2024-2025 fiscal year, 2,034,656 tons of rice have been exported, earning $948 million. In the 2024-2025 fiscal year, the monthly export of rice and broken rice was as follows: 111,862 metric tons were exported in April, earning $55 million; 71,279.5 metric tons were exported in May, earning $36 million; and in June 162,325.75 metric tons, earning $84 million; 165,444.3 metric tons in July, earning $81 million; 207,369.9 metric tons in August, earning $97 million; ...
