Russia: Kaluga juveniles sent from Khabarovsk airport under the supervision of Rosselkhoznadzor

The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Main Basin Administration for Fisheries and Conservation of Aquatic Biological Resources" has successfully bred juvenile kaluga fish and transported them to the Sakhalin region for breeding. The fish were found to be in good health and the transportation met all legal requirements. The institution also transports ornamental fish to Khabarovsk using similar procedures, and this year, over 102 thousand aquarium fish have been inspected at the Khabarovsk airport.

Juveniles of a valuable breed of fish of the sturgeon family were raised by the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Main Basin Administration for Fisheries and Conservation of Aquatic Biological Resources” in the village of Naykhin, Nanai district. After inspection and documentary control, the young kaluga were sent to the Sakhalin region to IP Pogodin V.P. (Pridorozhnoye village) for the purpose of keeping and breeding in a fish breeding workshop. During the veterinary control carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor Office, no violations were identified. The aquaculture consignment is registered in accordance with the requirements of the law and is allowed to proceed further to the recipient’s address.
